Walton County – March 11, 2024 – County Engineer Chance Powell confirmed that Deer Lake Bridge on C.R. 30-A, which had been closed for repairs, reopened Friday afternoon. The project is not finished yet and there will likely be temporary lane closures as contractors work on final punch list items.

“Right now, crews are working on installing new guard rails. Once that is completed, the work will be temporarily limited until after Spring Break ends, to ensure the smooth flow of traffic,” said Powell.

Additional punch list items, such as grass sodding and site clean-up, will then commence and the project will be finished.
