Niceville, FL (September 16, 2021)…Thanks to the generosity of the Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF), presented by the Jumonville Family, they raised over $2 million to benefit 16 area children’s charities. The Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center (ECCAC) received a significant $150,000 check from this year’s proceeds, which included the proceeds from an exclusive Patrons Dinner for ECCAC hosted by Cory & Hillary Fosdyck.

DCWAF is recognized as the fifth largest charity wine auction in the U.S. by Wine Spectator Magazine. Since their inception 16 years ago, DCWAF has donated more than $25 million by hosting world class wine seminars, auctions and culinary events to help children in need in Northwest Florida.

“This incredible donation will go a long way to help provide needed services for our families and their children in Okaloosa and Walton Counties,” said ECCAC CEO Julie Porterfield. “It will help both our intervention and prevention programs that provide critical therapeutic and advocacy services for child abuse victims by educating and empowering students to protect themselves from abuse in a world where sometimes adults no longer can.” ECCAC is in its 21st year of operation. They have provided over 150,000 services at no cost to more than 15,000 children experiencing abuse, abandonment or neglect to include mental health therapy, crisis intervention, referrals to other community providers, interviews and medicals.
