The Emerald Coast of Northwest Florida is well known for its beauty and beaches hosting many events, along with both local and destination weddings. Locals, Leighann Elliott and Haley Poveda, have founded a new company, RaeBird Wedding + Events. They will specialize in the coordination, planning and implementation of events and weddings in the region.
According to Elliott and Poveda, “RaeBird is a full-service wedding and event planning company. From planning corporate and non-profit events, birthday parties, family reunions, girls nights out, and even our own weddings, we discovered a passion for all things special and social, turning our dream into a reality by starting RaeBird Wedding + Events. We are a dynamic duo and like to say our company is small, but our heart and hard work is big. We have the ability and expertise to fully manage events from beginning to end, while planning the design and coordination. Every detail is part of the big picture.”
Unlike many wedding and event companies, RaeBird offers their expertise, from full to partial services, depending on their client’s needs. Accordingly, they offer several comprehensive fixed rate packages that specifically describe RaeBird’s scope of services that will be involved. All of their services start with a complimentary consultation.
Leighann Elliott was raised in the South, and hospitality has always been a way of life for her. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Elliott grew up in a large family, her passion for the event industry fueled her interest in Hospitality. After graduating from Auburn University with a Hospitality Management degree in 2017, Elliott moved to Miramar Beach to pursue her career goals in event coordinating and management. She has been in the hospitality and events industry for over a decade now, and is the Events and Marketing Manager for The Village of Baytowne Wharf. As well, Elliott serves on the Young Ambassadors Board for the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center.
Haley Poveda is an Arkansas native who now claims the Emerald Coast as her home. Growing up in Little Rock, she graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2014 with a degree in Kinesiology. Her passion, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for weddings and events came after planning her own wedding, to her now husband, Andy.
