ECCAC  Young Ambassadors 2020-21 board announced

Nine young professionals, comprised of men and women aged 21 – 40, currently serve on the Young Ambassador Board of the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center (ECCAC). This group supports the mission of the non-profit by helping to spread awareness through targeted service, social happenings and community outreach.

Serving as the 2020-2021 Young Ambassador Board officers are Whitney Whidden, president; Andrew Franco, vice president; and Kaitlyn White, secretary. Other board members are Danielle Barta, Allison Brelia, Ta’ki Brown, Leighann Elliott, Carrie Pardue and Andy Poveda.

Whitney Whidden, commented, “I’m super excited to be serving as president again this year. We will be focusing some of our efforts on growing our Young Ambassador membership. As well, we will be networking with other young professionals to educate them about ECCAC and encouraging them to get involved, whether by donating their time or money to the center. ECCAC is in its 20th year in operation this year. They have provided over 150,000 services at no cost to include mental health therapy, crisis intervention, referrals to other community providers, interviews and medicals to more than 14,000 children and their families at their Niceville center and the Pierce Family Children’s Advocacy Center in DeFuniak Springs.
