Juvenile arrested for several burglaries in the Driftwood Estates Community
For Immediate Release May 7, 2013
On May 1, 2013, The Walton County Sheriff’s Office received several reports of vehicle burglaries that occurred the previous night in the Driftwood Community. Items stolen included a firearm, alcohol and cash. Information gathered from witnesses in the neighborhood and a canvassed of the neighborhood by Investigators, aided in the development of several suspects.
On May 2, 2013, Storm Thayer, 16, was identified and interviewed concerning his involvement. He subsequently confessed to several of the vehicle burglaries.
Thayer was arrested and transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice Facility. Investigators continue to investigate this incident and more arrests are expected.
