Florida based Santa Rosa Golf Club released their Iphone smartphone application today, available free for download from the Apple App store. The app boasts an impressive list of features, such as handicap lookup and score posting, golf course photo and video gallery and mapping. App users can keep up to date on club news, detailed event information combined with the ability to make tee times and dinner reservations. Also available is membership information along with a section on Club Corp facilities, as well as a member login area for advanced member features.
“The app is going to be a great resource for us to communicate with our existing members and visitors, as well as market our wonderful amenities to prospective members,” said Rick Schoonover President of Santa Rosa Golf Club.
The idea behind the development of the app for Santa Rosa Golf Club was to add new ways of communication, and maximize marketing exposure utilizing emerging smartphone technology. “I hope all of our members and visitors will find the app as useful and user-friendly as I have,” said Tim Brown, Treasurer and Member at Santa Rosa Golf Club.
The app is an addition to the technology-based marketing efforts currently in use. Some of the other avenues Santa Rosa Golf Club uses are e-mail advertising for announcements, upcoming events calendar with text updates, and interactive websites at
