Hogs ResQue to Provide Hot Meals to Hurricane Michael First Responders, Volunteers  and Victims in Panama City October 20th – 21st

In the aftermath of Hurricane Michael, Louisiana-based Hogs ResQue will bring barbecue to first responders, volunteers and those in need. The nonprofit organization is planning to serve 4,000 hot meals at the Walmart Supercenter Parking Lot located in the Panama City Square this Saturday, October 20th and Sunday, October 21st. Meals will be distributed to all residents and responders, from 11AM to 2PM. The Walmart Supercenter is located at 513 W 23rd St, Panama City, FL, 32405. With personal connections to the Florida Panhandle, Hogs ResQue is a humanitarian organization with the primary goal of providing immediate assistance to those directly affected  by catastrophe and to first responders and volunteers activated in disaster recovery.

The organization was founded following the devastating floods in Baton Rouge in 2016 where its inaugural effort provided 4,000 meals. Hogs ResQue also traveled to Texas following Hurricane Harvey to provide food and support to workers and victims in 2017. “Our hearts go out to the people of Panama City and those affected by Hurricane Michael,” says Brad Gottsegen, co-founder of Hogs ResQue. “We are here with full hearts to fill stomachs and provide comfort food to those spending their days and nights in the recovery process.” Hogs ResQue has ties to the area, including a partnership with Kaiya Beach Resort in South Walton, whose owners have friends and families affected by Hurricane Michael.
