South Walton local Page Otey designed this skate deck art piece for a fundraiser for the new skate park held at Trebeache on February 20, 2016.For over ten years, skateboarders in Walton County have been dreaming of a new skate park. Those dreams are now close to coming true. Walton County has allocated 20,000 square feet of space at Helen McCall Park off U.S. Highway 98 in Santa Rosa Beach for a new skating facility. Walton Skate Society is now making a major fundraising push to help bring the project to fruition. The group held a fundraiser on February 20 at Trebeaché that drew huge crowds, showing what a large support base the project has. The Owsley Brothers performed for a packed house.
