Capes and Crowns Fun Run and 5k is Fun for the Whole Family
Discounts are available for the upcoming race being held Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 9
A.M.
(SANTA ROSA BEACH, FL – October 28, 2016) – Calling all princesses, princes and
superheroes! The third annual Capes and Crowns Fun Run and 5k race is just weeks
away and promises to be another exciting and entertaining event celebrating the
joys of fitness, costumed superheroes and family. The race will be held Saturday,
November 5, 2016 at 9 A.M. at the Village at Baytowne Wharf.
Benefitting the Tree House Montessori School, this incredible event features a 5k
race and half-mile fun run perfect for runners and walkers alike. The race is unique
in its inclusion of both strollers and animals in the 5k race, making it a truly family friendly
affair!
Runners in the 5k race will receive a runner’s bag filled with giveaways and
exclusive gifts and special treats from race sponsors including frozen yogurt
samples from Menchie’s and free post-race craft beer from Grayton Beer Company.
Fun run participants will receive a finisher’s medal while supplies last, and a
finisher’s cupcake courtesy of Smallcakes. A limited run of technical race shirts will
be available to early registrants for both races. Awards will be given to the fastest overall male and female with winners receiving arace medal and an incredible athletic wear outfit. Fun Run winners will bring home
a cookie cake from Great American Cookie Company. Kids, parents and pets are
welcome to dress up as their favorite superhero, prince or princess for a chance to
win the best family costume and best-dressed dog awards!
Our post-race celebration is open to the public and will include delicious bites from
race sponsors, superhero and princess appearances from Enchanted Parties, Zumba
by Fit Your Way on 30A and face painting by Abrakadoodle.
The fun begins at 9 A.M. on Saturday, November 5, 2016 for the 5k race with a
loop course winding through Sandestin. The half-mile fun run will take place at 10
A.M. and will take little runners through the streets of the Village of Baytowne
Wharf.
Spots are filling up fast. Registration is open and can be completed online at
www.capesandcrowns.com. Individual 5k registrations are $45 and the cost of the
fun run is $30. Use the discount code LASTCHANCE for $10 off the cost of individual
registrations.
NOTE: 5K registered participants are welcome to participate in the Half Mile Fun Run
with their 5K bibs. There is no need to purchase two registrations to participate in
both races.
Packets may be picked up the day before the race, Friday, November 4, 2016, from
1pm-6pm at Christ the King Episcopal Church located at 480 North Highway 393 in
Santa Rosa Beach. Race day packet pick up and registration will take place between
7:00 – 8:30 A.M. on Saturday, November 5 at the Village of Baytowne Wharf.
