Stryker is a 2 year old solid black German Shepherd who unfortunately never received training as a puppy. He was found as a stray by Animal Control, so we have no way of knowing the struggles this handsome boy endured in his past. When he first arrived at Alaqua, he was extremely protective of his food. This is something that our staff and medical team have been working very hard to eliminate with consistent hand-feeding and commands. We are confident that with a continued effort in his new home, his food-aggression could be eradicated completely. He has the potential to be a great dog as he is eager to please and a fast learner. Due to his size, his strength and over-playful personality can make him difficult to handle, so an experienced dog owner is required. He loves to play Frisbee in the yard and would make an excellent running companion! Our dream for Stryker is that he finds an active family who is willing to commit to providing him with the training that he needs, after all, he is still a puppy at heart.
Stryker’s adoption fee is $150 which includes his neuter, microchip and current vaccines. If you are interested in him, please fill out an application online at to http://www.alaquaanimalrefuge.org/ApplyforAdoption or call 850-880-6399 to schedule a meet & greet.
