Ohana Institute announces its 1st annual Halloween 5K Scare Run! In Rosemary Beach, Florida on October 24, 2015: The Ohana Institute is excited to host its first annual Halloween 5K Scare Run & 1 Mile Fun Dash, followed by Scarecrow Lane (on North Barrett Square).  This festive race, and follow up event is a terrific addition to the 30A events calendar. The cost to enter the race is $40 per person for the 5K or $15 per person for the 1 Mile Fun Dash.  Register online at www.active.com Opening ceremonies will be held at 6:45 a.m. at the St. Augustine Amphitheater in Rosemary Beach.  The 5K race will begin at that same location, followed by the 1 Mile Fun Dash at 8:30 a.m. And dogs are welcome (on leash) during the 1 Mile Fun Dash. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each race (5K, as well as the 1 mile Fun Dash). Costumes are encouraged (on people and pets), and prizes will also be awarded to participants for best costumes. Last but not least, there will be an award provided to the business that creates the BEST scarecrow for Scarecrow Lane. The 1st place winner will keep a trophy all year and their name will be engraved on the front. All winners will be announced by 30aTV, who will be covering the race on the day of the event. A complimentary BBQ meal will be provided to the registered participants, as well as other food and beverages provided by Amavida, and Grayton Beer.   In addition, The Ohana Institute will offer a variety sweet treats, including some gluten free options, for sale in their Baked Goods Tent.
