Evacuation orders for portions of the Florida Panhandle are underway as a tropical system is expected to impact the state by Thursday. Gulf County: Mandatory evacuation orders have been issued for all visitors in Indian Pass, Cape San Blas, and Simmons Bayou. This also includes all Recreational Vehicles (RVs). Gulf County is also under a local state of emergency. Franklin County: Mandatory evacuation orders have been issued for all barrier islands including St. George Island, Dog Island, Bald Point and Alligator Point. The mandatory evacuation also includes low lying and flood prone areas along the coast and rivers as well as mobile homes and RV parks. The orders are effective 12 p.m. Tuesday, additional orders may be issued at a later time.
