Miramar Beach, FL— Donna Johns, a South Walton Mosquito Board Commissioner, has officially filed her candidacy for Walton County Board of County Commissioner in District 4.
Donna has been a Miramar Beach resident for 20 years. She retired honorably from the United States Air Force, and subsequently retired from a second career as small business owner.
She’ll use her experience to bring transparency and common sense to Walton County government.
Donna Johns “Many of us feel helpless when it comes to our local government. We deserve better government.”
“I’m running because I believe the people of Miramar Beach and District 4 deserve honest and transparent representation from someone who lives in this district.”
“The South Walton Mosquito Board has accomplished many positive things during my tenure. I have no doubt that it will continue in that direction. We have many good people in place now to ensure it continues.”
“As we campaign across the district and in Walton County, I look forward to meeting and hearing from my neighbors. I want to understand their thoughts and concerns.”
“We all want proactive ideas and solutions regarding such issues as aligning tourism with infrastructure, code enforcement, county administration, and other areas. When elected, I will use my military and small business background to work for the citizens of Walton County, improve how our government operates within District 4 and around the county, and bring the type of representation we all deserve.”
