In 2020, the creators of VIE embarked on a new adventure to make VIE Speaks: Conversations with Heart & Soul. This podcast series features our CEO and editor-in-chief, Lisa Marie Burwell, hosting guests in her office at VIE HQ and chatting about various topics. Select episodes have also been recorded at SOWAL House studio in Rosemary Beach, Florida.

People have said that the podcast is, “fresh, real, and uplifting.” Each guest is an expert in their field, and each conversation is an entirely unscripted look into different brilliant and beautiful minds. Like the days of fireside chats and radio dramas, listening to entertainment has become cool again. If you’re into educational topics, motivational speaking, science fiction, celebrities, movies and TV, or anything else, there’s probably a podcast about it. VIE Speaks is a podcast for the everyman that, like VIE magazine, is dedicated to telling Stories with Heart & Soul.

The two most recent episodes featured musician and entrepreneur Brian Kelley and Food For Thought Founder Tiffanie Nelson. On the roster for upcoming episodes are New Orleans-based pop artist Ashley Longshore, local photographer and filmmaker Jonah Allen, and interior designer Todd Reeves. In addition, a new real estate-focused series within VIE Speaks will also feature Northwest Florida realtors and brokers discussing the market here and around the nation.

Brian just released his debut solo album, Sunshine State of Mind, and shares with VIE about his experience in co-writing all 17 tracks on his country-meets-coastal album and expounds on his vision and passion for music and life.

Tiffanie is currently working to raise awareness and support for her non-profit, Food For Thought, and their 8th Annual Stock the Pantry fund-raiser. Stock the Pantry is a fund-raising competition held by FFT every year to help raise $125,000 and 100,000 food items to stock the nonprofit’s pantry for the upcoming school year.
