The Matrix Community Outreach Center opened the area’s newest “Little Pantry,” which provides free, nonperishable goods to those in need. Conveniently located outside of the Matrix office doors, this box gives individuals access to goods outside of normal business hours and provides a welcoming sense of normalcy for our clients.
“We’re so grateful for our partners at United Way Emerald Coast for their continued support of the Matrix Community Outreach Center,” said Candy Nowling, Executive Director of the Matrix COC. “This tiny but mighty box they have provided us allows us to service our clients around the clock, where we can serve our community in an inviting and creative way. A special thanks to Katlyn Arnold, local artist to the Walton County, for sharing her artistic charm on this special project,” said Nowling.
With this great project, The Matrix will need continued support from the community to keep its shelves stocked! The Matrix COC is encouraging the public to donate any non-perishable, pop-top items to support this pantry. The items will need to be ready-to-eat, as this pantry will serve a number of clients with varying needs.
If you would like to donate to the Little Pantry, please bring your items to the Matrix Community Outreach Center, located at 37 North 9th Street, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32433.
