The concert series comes on the heels of a successful 2020 holiday season for Main Street DeFuniak Springs.
“By hosting new and exciting events in our Main Street district, we give locals and regional guests the opportunity to discover, or in some cases rediscover, downtown DeFuniak Springs,” said Main Street DeFuniak Springs Executive Director, Chelsea Blaich. “We have a variety of locally owned and operated businesses on Main Street. We encourage guests to make an evening out of these events by shopping our retail merchants beforehand and grabbing a bite to eat at one of our numerous restaurants.”
The lineup of musical acts includes regional artists and bands that will perform hour-long sets.
February 5: Anthony Peebles
February 12: Woods the Band
February 19: Daniel Pratt
February 26: Logan Pilcher
The listening room experience will allow guests the opportunity to hear the stories and inspirations behind each artist’s music.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children and are available at www.fcweb.org/musiconmain. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Accommodations have been made to allow for parties to socially distance.

About The Florida Chautauqua, Inc.: Built in the 1920’s in connection with the growth and prosperity DeFuniak Springs enjoyed from being the host of the Winter Chautauqua, The Florida Chautauqua Theater was constructed to serve as a movie house. The only one in Walton County, the theater contained an orchestra pit which was used during the silent movie era. The theater was closed in 1984 and remained vacant until 1989. In 1989 The Florida Chautauqua, Inc. began sponsoring productions for the benefit of the community. In 1996 a historical perseveration grant in excess of $500,000 restored the theater to its 1920s state. Since the renovation it has operated continuously as a performing arts community theater hosting education classes and live theatrical performances.
