Chelsea Fox promoted to Development Manager at ECCAC
DeFuniak Springs and Niceville, FL Chelsea Fox, now with the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center (ECCAC) for the past four years, was recently promoted to be the Development Manager.
Prior to her promotion, Fox handled and coordinated many of ECCAC’s events and volunteers. Now, in addition to overseeing the non-profit organization’s Young Ambassador board, she will also direct the development, identification, research, cultivation, management and solicitation of major gift prospects and donors. As well, Fox will oversee fundraising events and manage ECCAC’s marketing program.
Born and raised in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Fox is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. She majored in Communications with a focus in Broadcast Journalism and was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Moving to Destin after graduating college in 2014, Fox began working at the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center. Outside community involvement includes serving on the board of the Florida Public Relations Association as the VP of Professional Development and serving on the board of the Young Professionals of Walton County as their Communications Chair. On the rare weekends she is not producing or attending events on the Emerald Coast, you can find her outside either on her paddleboard or at the beach.
Fox commented, “I am grateful for all the opportunities ECCAC has given me over the years. I love coming to work knowing we are making a difference in the lives of children.”
ECCAC provides services in a child-friendly environment to help identify, treat and support children in abusive situations, as well as helping to prevent child abuse through education and prevention programs. With a Center in Okaloosa County and the Pierce Family Center in Walton County, they house representatives from the Florida Department of Children and Families, Child Protection Team, State Attorney’s Office, local law enforcement, licensed mental health counselors, and ECCAC’s staff and volunteers. In ECCAC’s 20-year history, over 15,000 children have received more than 170,000 services at no cost.
