An electrifying, full-orchestra tribute to the Queen of Rock ’n’ Roll—continuing Sinfonia Gulf Coast’s 20th anniversary celebration

DESTIN, FLA. — Sinfonia Gulf Coast continues the celebration of its 20th anniversary season with Simply the Best: The Music of Tina Turner, a powerhouse tribute concert performed live with the Sinfonia Gulf Coast orchestra. This high-energy main event takes the stage Thursday, Jan. 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the Destin–Fort Walton Beach Convention Center.

Backed by the sweeping sound of the orchestra, a trio of acclaimed vocalists brings Tina Turner’s legendary catalog to life with raw power, soul and undeniable stage presence. Broadway and touring veteran Shaleah Adkisson has captivated audiences nationwide in productions including Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical and Rent and is also known for her work in all-female tribute shows celebrating iconic women of music.

Two-time Grammy-winning singer and actress Tamika Lawrence brings star power and vocal fire to the stage, with Broadway credits spanning Come From Away, Dear Evan Hansen, Caroline, Or Change, Beautiful and The Book of Mormon, along with appearances in film and television including The Greatest Showman and The Wiz Live!.

Rounding out the cast is Tyler Huckstep, a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, whose career includes international tours, regional theater roles and work as a featured production vocalist. Together, the trio delivers iconic hits including Proud Mary, What’s Love Got to Do With It, Private Dancer and Simply the Best with passion and authority worthy of Tina Turner’s enduring legacy.

Presented in collaboration with New York–based Spot-On Entertainment, the New York City–based concert production company founded by award-winning producer Scott Coulter, the performance blends Broadway-caliber vocals with symphonic power for a tribute that is both musically rich and emotionally charged.
