TAM TAYLOR COINS NEW GENRE WITH “PANHANDLE PRINCESS” — THE FIRST MICROMEDY FILMED IN FLORIDA’S PANHANDLE

Actress, writer, and producer Tam Taylor announces her latest project, PANHANDLE PRINCESS. A bold new creation and the first-ever “Micromedy” (Micro Comedy) to be filmed in the Florida Panhandle. The project is produced in association with The Florida Film Office Inc.

A “Micromedy,” a term coined by Taylor herself, is a bite-sized, high-impact comedic format blending sharp humor, cinematic style, and emotional storytelling all broken down into one minute and fifty five second episodes. PANHANDLE PRINCESS marks the official debut of this emerging genre.

Set against the sunburnt beauty of Panama City Beach, PANHANDLE PRINCESS celebrates the grit and glamour of the Gulf Coast. The story follows a fifty-something, washed-up Southern siren with big hair and bigger problems who bartends her way through tourists, trouble, and tab after unpaid tab, all while proving that you never outgrow the party, you just change the rules.

“Panhandle Princess is a love letter to the women who refuse to fade,” says Taylor. “It’s about survival, vanity, and the comedy of holding onto your crown long after the parade has passed. I wanted to show that people over 50 still have plenty to say and plenty of sparkle left to give.”

Both created by and starring Tam Taylor, PANHANDLE PRINCESS captures the humor, heartbreak, and resilience of life in the Florida Panhandle. A place where karaoke singers belt their truths, beauty queens grow older but never smaller, and every cocktail comes with a story.

With PANHANDLE PRINCESS, Taylor isn’t just introducing a new series. She’s launching a movement: proof that bold voices, at any age, can redefine comedy and storytelling for a new generation. For interviews contact tam@thetamtaylor.com
