Veterans Serve Day

The 516 Project is pleased to announce its upcoming Veterans Serve Day on September 30, 2023. This initiative is aimed at providing a much-needed wheelchair ramp for a local disabled Air Force Veteran. This will make a lasting impact by providing safe access to their home. 516 Project serves Bay County and beyond. The Veteran Serve Day will unite the efforts of area businesses, base personnel and churches. By collaborating with local supply houses, the project aims to secure discounted materials to be purchased through donated funds from donors. 516 Project aims to serve veterans and families in need of home repairs, especially wheelchair ramps and bathroom modifications for handicap access safety. There are many families in our area struggling to make ends meet on fixed incomes that leave little room for the expenses associated with these repairs.

“We are humbled by the outpouring of support from our local community” Scott added. “This veteran serve day is a true testament to the collective compassion and determination of individuals and organizations coming together to create lasting change.” To contribute to the Veteran Serve Day or learn more about the 516 Project’s ongoing efforts to improve housing conditions for families in need, visit www.516project.org/tyndall
