GCSC VPA presents “An Evening of Showtunes” Fundraiser

The Visual & Performing Arts Division at Gulf Coast State College presents “An Evening of Showtunes” fundraiser to take place on Saturday, April 23 at 7:30pm in the Amelia Center Theatre.

This event will serve as a fundraiser for the Ray H. Stanley Memorial Musical Theatre Scholarship Fund at Gulf Coast State College in honor of the late Ray Stanley. Stanley was a theatre major at Gulf Coast and one of the founders of the GCSC Players, a student theatre organization.

“We are offering this scholarship as a way of keeping Ray’s memory alive,” said Jason Hedden, Visual & Performing Arts Chair. “This Fund will help future Musical Theatre students who share his passion for the arts.”

The event will feature current GCSC musical theatre students performing an eclectic cabaret of Broadway showtunes. Performances include A Chorus Line, Avenue Q, Aida, West Side Story, Waitress, South Pacific, Parade, Freaky Friday, Rent, and more.
