Corcoran Reverie agents raised $12,300 for The Sonder Project through a live and silent auction at the firm’s recent holiday party at The Watersound Beach Club
Corcoran Reverie, a high-end real estate brokerage and an affiliate of Corcoran Group LLC, recently celebrated the season at its annual holiday party at The Watersound Beach Club. The brokerage invited its 150+ real estate agents and leadership team and held a silent and live auction benefiting The Sonder Project, whose mission is to empower impoverished community members through high-impact, sustainable development around the world. Together, Corcoran Reverie raised $12,300 that will go directly to the The Sonder Project’s programs and initiatives.
“It’s incredible to see our agents and leadership team come together to support such an amazing organization and give back in such a monumental way, especially during the holiday season,” said Corcoran Reverie owner/broker Hilary Farnum-Fasth.
“To have a team that has a heart and a passion for the local community as well as those in need worldwide through organizations like The Sonder Project, is more than we could ever ask for as leaders,” added Jacob Watkins, Corcoran Reverie co-owner and real estate advisor.
Headquartered locally in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, The Sonder Project focuses its efforts in economically developing countries where the need is greatest. The organization’s main effort is providing clean water by drilling wells that can support at least 500 community members, and often many more. The Sonder Project also focuses on ensuring a healthy and safe learning environment for children by building schools – and most recently, piloting a solar-powered irrigated community farm to allow farmers to harvest year-round – thereby increasing the annual income of nearly everyone in the local area while simultaneously battling food insecurity.
