EMERALD COAST THEATRE COMPANY PRESENTS COMEDY ON THE BOULEVARD

Three comedians take the ECTC stage Oct. 19

Emerald Coast Theatre Company is no joking matter. Well, actually it will be on October 19 at 7:30 p.m. when it stages three evenings of comedy as part of its Comedy on the Boulevard.

Hosted by resident funny guy Jason Hedden this evening of comedy also features headliners Heather Tolley Bauer and Cyrus Steele.

Jason Hedden is a theater professor and actor that took to stand-up comedy when his wife stopped laughing at his jokes at home. He lives in Panama City Beach, Florida where he performs regularly and co-produces monthly shows with Panama City Comedy. He has been seen at StarDome, The Comedy Catch, Jackie Knight’s Comedy Club and dozens of other venues throughout the southeast. Jason was part of the Pensacola Indie Fringe and Comedy Festival, NY Underground Comedy Festival, Gulf Coast Comedy Festival and has shared the stage with Henry Cho, Ryan Niemiller, Aaron Weber, Jenn Weeks, Ben Brainard, Chris Cope, Derrick Stroup, Cliff Cash and many other funny folks.

Heather Tolley-Bauer is a stay-at-home mom, wife, colorectal cancer-survivor and stand-up comedian returns to ECTC’s stage to provide audiences with much-needed laughs to escape everything from marriage, middle-age and millennials to parenting, Pinterest, the PTA, and now, a pandemic. Tolley-Bauer performs in Atlanta and select cities across the country and for large organizations. The producer, booker and host of a monthly, largely sold-out show featuring an all-female line-up called Laugh-Lines & Stretch-Marks, she has hosted shows for the Punchline in Atlanta and Minority Reportz in Los Angeles, opened for touring comic, Brian Moote and recently was selected to perform at the prestigious LaughFest comedy festival in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

A dynamic performer, comedian, Cyrus Steele is quickly establishing himself as one of Atlanta’s in-demand comics through his story-tellng performances and dry wit. Steele appeals to audiences young and old, with his unbridled energy. His brand of comedy covers everything from childhood stories, to pop-culture. Recently, he made his TV debut on Dish Network’s “Comedy Shootout with Chad Prather” on RideTV. In 2017, he was selected as a finalist for HBO’s Comedy Wings Competition. And last year, was a finalist for Steve Harvey’s Comedy Spotlight and Jeanne Robertson’s Comedy with Class. In February he appeared on the pop culture news show TMZ, winning their Wackiest Talent contest. He’ll be dropping his first DryBar comedy special next summer.

All performances are at Emerald Coast Theatre Company’s (ECTC) performance space located at 560 Grand Boulevard in Grand Boulevard Town Center in Miramar Beach.
