Walton County BCC Opens Beach Vending; Institutes Burn Ban

During today’s Walton County Board of County Commissioners regular meeting, the BCC took several actions directly relating to the public.

The County passed resolution 2020-42 which extends the Local State of Emergency. As part of this approval, the BCC has reopened beach vending with the following requirements: • Vendors shall place equipment at a minimum of 6 feet apart • Vendors shall not place equipment in a manner to allow groups of more than 10 to congregate • Vendors shall disinfect equipment between each use Additionally, the BCC has institute a countywide burn ban. The ban will not apply to cooking when contained in a gas or charcoal grill.
