Tribal Charity Paddle Race to benefit Emerald Coast Childrens Advocacy Center 

The Tribal Charity Paddle Race to benefit ECCAC  Destin, FL A new paddle board event, The Tribal Charity Paddle Race, will be held on the Choctawhatchee Bay at LuLu’s restaurant in Destin to benefit the Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center (ECCAC) on October 19, at 9 a.m. Paddle Tribe Co. is teaming up with LuLu’s and sponsor Century 21, Blue Marlin Pelican. There will be several medal winning races to include a 1-mile; a 3-mile surf style and displacement for under 50 and 50+; a kids 12 and under category; and a big board race team of four, with teams drawn from a hat. Included in the registration fee of $35 for adults and $25 for kids 12 and under, is a LuLu’s hamburger or chicken finger meal. Register on-line at PaddleTribeCompany.com, or register day of at 8 a.m. ECCAC provides services in a child-friendly environment to help identify, treat and support children in abusive situations, as well as helping to prevent child abuse through education and prevention programs. With a Centers in Okaloosa County and the Pierce Family Center in Walton County, they house representatives from the Florida Department of Children and Families, Child Protection Team, State Attorney’s Office, local law enforcement, licensed mental health counselors, and ECCAC’s staff and volunteers. In ECCAC’s 19-year history, over 12,000 children have received more than 60,000 services at no cost.
