Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. (www.scenicwalton.org), August 2019 –Scenic Walton has announced 21st Century Oncology in Santa Rosa Beach as the winner of its Design Excellence Award for this quarter! Dr. Warren Amos will receive the award at a special presentation ceremony on Friday, August 9, 2019, at 10 a.m. at 6879 U.S. Hwy. 98 W., Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459. Everyone is invited to attend!
Headquartered in Fort Myers, Fla., 21st Century Oncology is a local provider of cancer care services, and one of the largest radiation oncology providers and largest groups of urologists in the U.S. The Santa Rosa Beach location is part of a physician-led company which operates 164 treatment centers, including 127 centers located in 15 U.S. states and is affiliated with nearly 1,000 physicians globally, including radiation oncologists and other cancer-related specialists such as urologists, medical oncologists, hematologists, gynecologic oncologists, surgeons and pathologists.
“Our location has been huge for our company and communities along the Emerald Coast! This space allows us to keep up with the demand and service needs of our clients,” said
Rolando Alvarez, RT. “We’ve worked hard to ensure that our building and property were aesthetically pleasing. Not only does our design bring customers in, but it helps them feel welcome and allows them to have the best experience possible,” he said. “So, we invested a lot of time and energy into the design, landscaping and upkeep of our building. That’s why this prestigious award is especially meaningful.”
Scenic Walton established the Design Excellence Award in 2017 to recognize businesses and developers who build or renovate projects that best exemplify the intent of the Scenic Corridor Guidelines established for developments in Chapter 6 of the Walton County Land Development Code. “We designed this award for businesses that adhere to Scenic Corridor guidelines for architecture, landscaping, signage and other areas,” said Scenic Walton Board President Leigh Moore. “And 21st Century Oncology is doing just that with their building design, front entrance and landscaping.”
“It’s a positive thing for Walton County, its communities and for tourism when development is done well,” said Moore. “I think when people drive into this area, they experience the difference and that’s really important for business owners, residents and visitors. Scenic Walton believes it’s all about improving the quality of life in the community, increasing property values and making developments more sustainable and in keeping with the character of Walton County communities.”
Attending the presentation will be team members of 21st Century Oncology, Walton County Planning and Development Services staff, Scenic Walton board members, media and members of the community.
