Ruth’s Chris Steak House at Silver Shells Resort in Destin invites the community, loyal patrons and guests to a fundraiser for server, Jimma Grimm. Ruth’s Chris Steak House will host the event on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at its Courtyard Bar. Grimm moved to the area in 1989 and has been in the service industry ever since. She is part of the original team at Ruth’s Chris Steak House since they opened their doors in 2006 and has been an integral team member ever since. Unfortunately, Grimm was recently diagnosed with Stage Two Breast Cancer and has undergone surgery and radiation treatment in order to combat the notoriously reoccurring disease. Her fight began on March 16, 2018, yet she has a long road of follow-up appointments and expensive prescription medications ahead of her. One hundred percent of the money donated will be used to pay for her medical expenses as well as assist with daily living expenses.

“Jimma is far more than a server here at Ruth’s Chris,” said Mike Sable, Ruth’s Chris’ General Manager. “She is an essential part of the Ruth’s Chris family and is known and adored by everyone. The event is being held in response to an incredible outpouring of patron and staff requests, which is a true testament to how deserving Jimma really is.” The Jimma Grimm fundraiser is free to attend and open to the public. Guests are invited to stop by and meet Grimm, enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, live music by Michael J Thomas, and participate in a live auction by Luxury Estates Auction Company.
