Rust & Gold to Perform to Benefit Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation Community Outreach Program.
On Friday, August 4th Rust & Gold – A Neil Young Tribute will perform at Club L.A. In Destin as part of a benefit for the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation Community Outreach program.
“Earlier this year, Melanie Moore, the Education Director invited me to photograph one of the programs that is possible because of the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation Community Outreach Program,” explains event coordinator Nikki Hedrick. “To see how this program uses music for the betterment of lives – to spark joy through these community driven educational opportunities is something that I want to do my best to support. It’s honor to help put together this concert and make an impact right here in our own backyard.”
The event will feature ‘Rust & Gold’, a dynamic tribute band plays the music of Neil Young and Crazy Horse headed by local musician Nic Turner. “It’s going to be a great night covering a lot of Young’s most popular songs,” says Turner. “We couldn’t be more excited to use our music to support a great local cause.”
The Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation Community Outreach Program supports cultural experiences for children, those with special needs, and the wounded warrior population by creating empowering programs utilizing the arts. They currently provide programs in both Walton and Okaloosa counties.
The event will include a raffle to benefit the program, as well as limited VIP seating. Doors will open at 7pm for the event.
