Miramar Beach, Fla. (June 12, 2017) — Clap your hands if you believe in fairies … and the magic of live children’s theater! Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC) — a non-profit professional theater company founded in 2012 by Nathanael and Anna Fisher — presents a special staging of “Peter Pan” as part of its Theatre for Young Audiences (TYA) program.
Under the direction of teaching artist Darla Briganti, audiences will get to enjoy a creative performance that combines the enthusiasm of local junior thespians working alongside ECTC’s professional actors.
“Peter Pan” (also known as the Boy Who Wouldn’t Grow Up) is the story of a mischievous little boy who can fly, and his adventures on the island of Neverland with Wendy Darling and her younger siblings, the fairy Tinker Bell, the Lost Boys, the Indian princess Tiger Lily, and the crocodile-fearing pirate Captain Hook.
This special adaptation of “Peter Pan” is less than one-hour. Performances are Friday, June 16 at 2 p.m. and Saturday, June 17 at 10 a.m. at ECTC’s theater space, located in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin at 560 Grand Boulevard in Miramar Beach.
General admission tickets are $10. Children (age four and under) are free. Purchase tickets at the door or online at www.EmeraldCoastTheatre.org.
“This show is sure to bring the pages of this beloved story to life onstage and ignite children’s imaginations,” said ECTC producing artistic director Nathanael Fisher. “We invite families with children in our community and theater lovers of all ages to come and see first-hand the exciting creative result of what can happen when local junior thespians are teamed with our professional TYA actors and teachers.”
