The 9th Annual Rock For A Cure concert will be held at The Block in Fort Walton Beach, FL on Sunday, January 15th.
“Each year gets harder and harder to top,” says musician and Rock For a Cure founder Tommy Siren, “But, we always try to make it BIGGER and BETTER every year.”
Spearheaded by Tommy Siren, Rock For A Cure is a charity concert that unites area musicians, vendors, and patrons to come together to donate their money and energies to the American Cancer Society’s battle against cancer. Entering its 9th straight year, Rock For A Cure looks to double down on their efforts to help fight cancer.
“The door cover, the food sold, the raffles, the t-shirts donated by The Block – all the proceeds raised from those all go to the ACS,” declares Tommy Siren. “This year, we have the absolute best talent the Florida Panhandle has to offer who are donating their time to this as well.”
That talent covers 11 acts ranging in all genres of music, from the reggae-rock sounds of Heritage to the funk beats from The Okaloosa Sound and to the hard rock heavy brought by Filmore Drive. To hear Siren tell it, “there’s a little bit of something for everyone.”
“(This is) an evening where the money goes to the American Cancer Society, but at the same time, it isn’t about dwelling on the horror that is cancer,” says Tommy Siren. “It’s about celebrating the times we have with the ones we love the most.”
