Fondly known as Chef Lock, the local chef is no stranger to the area having opened 30A Private Chef, providing personal chef and event catering services a year ago with his wife Cheryl. Most recently Chef Lock opened Seacrust Pizza in Peddlers Pavilion at Seacrest. Famous for his Neapolitan and upside down pizzas, the kiosk-style pizzeria with over 25 toppings was where the Corchis family was first introduced to the chef’s culinary talents. “Pizza is a love for our family, and Neapolitan Pizzas specifically,” said George Corchis.  “We began as patrons of Seacrust Pizza and with our frequent visits struck up conversations with Chef Lock each time we visited and so the story goes…” Chef Lock will bring his true respect and passion for classic Italian Cuisine to each dish at amici 30A.  Born in the Asian country of Laos and raised in Utica, New York, Chef Lock inherited his love of cooking from watching his mother. Demonstrating a visible appreciation for food, Lock believes in simply prepared dishes crafted to ignite your taste buds with full flavors, using only the highest quality seasonal ingredients. In addition to his culinary talents, Chef Lock will bring his charismatic personality to amici 30A’s exhibition kitchen. The open, interactive concept will allow Chef to welcome guests and interact with patrons while cooking, making it an experience all in its own. “I cook with conviction, aiming to meet the challenge of perfection,” explained Chef Lock. “My desire is to create a plate full of emotions that ignites gratification after the first bite. Ultimate satisfaction is achieved for me when I look out into the dining room and hear the enthusiasm of guests and nods of approval from one table to another.” Chef Lock will be preparing amici 30A’s classic Italian menu, filled with made from scratch items. The tender, slow cooked meatballs are hand rolled and simmered in house made vine ripened marinara. Highlights of the menu include the fresh made, cut to order pasta dishes including Tortellini Carbonara, Shrimp Pappardelle, Rigatoni Alla Vodka and amici 30A’s rustic Bolognese.
