Alaqua Animal Refuge Pet of the Week “Eva”   Eva, an 8 year old Newfoundland, has been loved her whole life and has not known anything different until now. Both of her parents are sick and they do not have a lot of time left. They wanted to be sure that their best friend would have a loving home and a family before they moved on. This was a great sacrifice as most people would want their best friend with them until the end. Eva’s mom and dad just want what is best for this wonderful girl. You can help to fulfill their last wish….” A loving home for Eva.”   Eva is sweet, laid back and just wants to be loved. At 144 lbs, she truly is a gentle giant.  Like all Newfies, she will take up a lot of space; will need air-conditioning in the spring and summer and consistent brushing of her dense coat.
