There are certain stories that pull at your heartstrings and this definitely rings true with Lottah. Found as a stray in a nearby community, this beautiful 7 year old Boxer made her way to Alaqua as a midpoint in her journey to her forever home. Unfortunately, this may not be the case for Lottah. Along with being heart-worm positive, she is now battling cancer. She had never been spayed which put her at a greater risk for developing mammary tumors. lottah3 At this point there are no visible tumors in her lungs, but they could develop later on. Lottah has limited time left in her life, but it is our hope that there is that one in a million person who will open their heart so that she can live out the rest of her days in a home where she is comfortable, loved and cared for. When a person is sick there are families, hospice and nursing homes to care for them, but right now Lottah has only Alaqua. She is extremely sweet, loves to cuddle and thinks she is a lap dog. Every day that Lottah is in her new home will be a memory that her new family will cherish as one of the best and most rewarding days in their lives. Please contact Alaqua if you are that one in a million willing to give Lottah a loving home for the final stages of her life. Lottah is now spayed, microchipped and current on her vaccines.
