Learn about shorebirds, roast a hot dog, make a s’more and see the G rated movie “Rio” all at Camp Helen State Park’s Movies and More program starting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 15th. The interpretive program about shore birds will be presented by the Audubon Society. Also on site will be the Panama City Beach Mosquito Control District’s Educational trailer. Although entrance into the park is free, donations to the Friends of Camp Helen State Park are accepted. Donations are used to benefit the park. A parent or guardian must accompany all children Camping World, the major sponsor of Movies and More, will have one of their campers on display. The other sponsors include Carpe Diem Community Solutions, Friends of Camp Helen State Park, Miracle Strip Junior Woman’s Club, Panama City Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau and Thrivent Financial: Action Team.
