(Santa Rosa Beach) – The South Walton Fire District (SWFD) held its Annual Awards Ceremony at the Le Ciel Ballroom in Sandestin, Florida on March 7, 2015. Nearly 100 members were in attendance, including SWFD Board of Fire Commissioners Charlotte Flynt and Brian Christensen. The ceremony provides an opportunity for SWFD team members to come together socially, celebrate accomplishments and share memories from the past year.
Presiding over the awards ceremony was Fire Chief Rick Talbert who shared the District’s views on recognizing our members. “They (SWFD members) do such an amazing job and never ask for recognition. They will all tell you they were “just doing their job”. That is why it is important to recognize these men and women for their actions, their dedication to the job and for the professionalism that they demonstrate every day, at every call, for every customer they serve”, said Chief Talbert.
