Walton County Public Works Crews have completed the installation of a temporary bridge crossing Draper Lake on County Highway 30A between Highway 83 and Highway 393. The road is now open to traffic.
The County installed the temporary bridge after having to close that section of road due to a culvert failure during the storms that hit the area in late April and early May. The failure of the culvert caused the road to be unsafe for vehicular travel.
This temporary bridge will remain in place until engineering crews can assess the full damage caused by the failure and determine the best way for the County to move forward with a permanent solution.
