(Dec. 11, 2013) – Sinfonia Gulf Coast invites ladies to their best foot forward for a great cause with Sinfonia Gulf Coast’s Wine, Women & Shoes-Sandestin, Feb. 7-9, 2014. The event is one of the California-based Wine, Women and Shoes events held nationwide, which have raised more than $15 million dollars for non-profits across the country. Serving the region with an entirely professional symphony orchestra, Sinfonia is synonymous with presenting high-caliber events and Wine, Women & Shoes will help raise funds for much-needed educational initiatives throughout the community. On Thursday, January 16 at 11:30 a.m., Sinfonia will present a preview “Sole Sisters Lunch” at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse located in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin. The luncheon will feature dazzling jewelry from Destin Jewelers, a fashion preview courtesy of W by Worth, door prizes and a delectable culinary experience courtesy of Fleming’s Chef Partner Innocent Utomi. Tickets are $50 each and include all food and gratuities. The Wine Women and Shoes event weekend will kick off on Friday, Feb. 7, with multiple Vintner Dinners hosted in elegant homes and restaurants throughout the region. Some of the country’s best vineyards such as Blackbird, Swanson, Ferrari Sparkling, Pott, Jericho Canyon, Orin Swift, Peter Lehman, Justin, Lola, Pali and Peju, will be paired with recognized chefs. The evening’s culinary maestros include regional chefs Tim Creehan of Cuvee Bistro, Ken Duenas of Café Thirty-A, Paul Stellato of Firefly, Gary Serafin of Emerald Coast Catering, Nikhil Abavula of Roux 30A, Christopher Holbrook of Signature Catering 30A, Jude Tauzin, Executive Chef for Tony Chachere and Jude Wilmoth, Chef/Owner of Restaurant Cook in St. Helena, California. The Signature Event will be on Sunday, Feb. 9 from 2-5 pm in the Magnolia Ballroom at Sandestin’s The Village of Baytowne Wharf. Patrons can expect an extravaganza of fashion, wine and retail (shoes) sales, silent auction, wine tastings, sole mates (shoe guys), delectable hors d’oeuvres and a fashion show from W by Worth and Dennis & Company.
