Info Sought in Destin Armed Burglary

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is working to track down a man who attempted to burglarize a room at the Holiday Inn Express in Destin and then pulled a gun on a witness. On December 16 at approximately 5:45 p.m. a white male was seen attempting to gain entry into a room by using a screwdriver to pry open the door. When the man was confronted he pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the witness. He then fled in a silver or gold four-door sedan, possibly a Buick or Ford Taurus, keeping the gun pointed at the witness the entire time. The suspect is described as a white male between 45-59 years old with a medium build, approximat13-13730_sus_vehely 6’ tall, and was wearing a green jacket, a dark colored hat and what appeared to be prescription glasses.
