MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla.–Oct. 29, 2013–Tickets are on-sale now for the live comedy show and concert taking place on Saturday, Nov. 2 as part of the 17th Annual South Walton Celebrity Golf Classic. In addition to the exclusive list of celebrity attendees, the evening will feature an incredible line-up of
performers that will have audiences laughing, astonished and feeling patriotic.
The show begins at 7 p.m. at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa and will feature comedian Henry Cho as emcee,
America’s top sleight of hand artist and mentalist David Magee, renowned comedian Sonya White, Nashville Singer/Songwriter Eric Heatherly, the talented singing trio The American Three, and one of the area’s favorite local bands, Jones & Company.
“Saturday night is our closing event and we’re pulling out all the stops,” said Tournament Director Charlie Haje. “We’ll be featuring incredibly talented entertainers of all kinds–comedy, illusion, music and more. The evening will have a patriotic theme as we honor our nation’s heroes and thank all our celebrities who have taken their time to support Working Warrior Nation and our nation’s veterans.” The Saturday night Comedy Show and Concert will feature a variety of entertainers. Comedian
Henry Cho will serve as the emcee for the evening, keeping the audience entertained between acts. Cho has been a standup comedian for nearly 30 years and has enjoyed appearances on many sitcoms as well as a starring role in the TV movie “Revenge of the Nerds III: The Next Generation.”
Mentalist David Magee will bring his Las Vegas performance to South Walton, astonishing audiences
as he manipulates the human mind. The hilarious Sonya White, renowned for her observational
comedy and dead-on impersonations, will bring Southern charm and humor to the show. White has
been featured NBC’s Last Comic Standing, CMT’s Southern Fried Chicks, and Oxygen’s Girl’s Behaving
Badly, among others.
Later in the evening, live musical performances ignite the Emerald Ballroom with rhythm and emotion. Nashville Singer/Songwriter Eric Heatherly, who Billy Bob Thornton once described as “the best mix of Sun Records meets the Grand Ole Opry,” will take the stage to perform some of his Top 40 singles, including “Flowers on the Wall,” which earned the #3 Top Country Single of 2000. Among Heatherly’s many accolades, he earned the coveted “Critics’ Pick Award” from Music Row and has
enjoyed appearances on CMT, the CMA Awards, and Our Country, as well as rocked the Grand Ole Opry stage and Austin City Limits.
Live music continues with a performance by The American Three. The trio of gifted American vocalists, including Josh Cobb, Nathan Mickle and Nathan Siler, will unite the audience in song with equal parts Broadway, Rat Pack, Pop, Great American Songbook and beloved classics, including their patriotic single “We Are America (The Toast).” The American Three. The evening will also include a musical performance by local favorite, Jones & Company, making it a very special evening to
remember.
The room will be filled with sports and entertainment celebrities, ranging from Baseball Hall of Fame Inductees Phil Niekro and Bill Mazeroski to Super Bowl XXXVII MVP Dexter Jackson to Actors Patrick Warburton (Seinfeld, Rules of Engagement), John Ashton (M*A*S*H, Beverly Hills Cop) and Bill Smitrovich (Ironman, TED, The Practice, Without a Trace), among many others.
Tickets are on sale now for the South Walton Celebrity Golf Classic Comedy Show and Concert, benefiting the Working Warrior Nation. The show begins at 7 p.m. on Nov. 2 at the Hilton Sandestin Emerald Ballroom. Tickets are available in advance or at the door for $50 per person for general admission with cash bar. VIP tickets, which include premium seating, backstage passes, open bar and food, are available for $300 per person. A special military rate of $25/general admission is being
