Two Suspects Sought For Vehicle Burglary and Shoplifting

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s help in identifying two suspects who broke into a vehicle, stole a handbag and then proceeded to use the victim’s credit card at various locations to include Wal-Mart in Santa Rosa Beach.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to Club Intrawest (9300 West US Hwy 98) located within the Sandestin property on June 30 at 11:33 am.  The victim reported that she was notified earlier that morning by her credit card company stating they noticed suspicious activity on her card.  The victim checked her vehicle and at that time noticed her purse was missing.  The victim immediately canceled her credit card.

Also on the same day, the Sheriff’s Office responded to Wal-Mart in Santa Rosa Beach at 5:19 p.m. in reference to shoplifting.  The manager stated that a white male and white female attempted to pay for their merchandise using a credit card which was declined three times.  The two suspects left the store with the merchandise in hand without paying.  The suspects left in a gold or tan sedan.  The credit card used is linked to the victim whose purse was stolen.

If you have any information to the identity and whereabouts of these individuals please contact Deputy Sheriff Blake McCormick at 850.892.8111.  Anyone with information who wishes to remain anonymous and possibly be eligible for a cash reward of UP TO $1,000 is asked to call Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 863-TIPS (8477), report anonymously online at www.emeraldcoastcrimestoppers.com, text "TIP214 plus your tip" to 274637(CRIMES) or send a mobile tip using our new "Tipsubmit Mobile" application, which is a free download for iPhones, iPads, and Droids.
