June 8, Flounder’s Chowder House

Calling all lady anglers…fishing festivities begin with a Captain’s Meeting for entrants the night before the tournament at 6 pm, on June 7, at Flounder’s Chowder House in Pensacola Beach. The actual fishing tournament starts at 6:30 am on June 8, with fish weigh-ins at Flounder’s from noon to 2 pm, followed by an afternoon of fun and sisterhood at the awards ceremony.
Lady anglers of all ages from all over the country can become involved in a variety of ways. Members with their own boat can register for $150 per person. Non-members with a boat can sign up for $200 per person, which includes a Fishin’ Chix annual membership.
No boat? No experience? No problem. This is a unique turnkey adventure for women of all ages and experience levels. If they don’t have access to their own boat, Fishin’ Chix helps place lady anglers on chartered boats. The entry fee for the whole package is $325 per person, which includes tournament entry, placement on a charter boat with a Captain, instruction, use of all equipment, bait, and a Fishin’ Chix annual membership. For Fishin’ Chix members who need a boat, entry fee is $275.
With proceeds benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project, the fishing rodeo will offer prizes and trips valued at over $10,000. Cash and prizes will be awarded for the top three anglers in each fish category.
