30A Launches New ’30A Gear’ Website

30Agear.com, a new website designed to showcase official 30A® brand products.

“We have over
20 great retail partners here in South Walton, but fewer than 2 percent of our
88,000 Facebook fans are locals,” said 30A’s Mike Ragsdale. “30Agear.com not only enables us to reach 30A fans around the world — and throughout the year — but it’s also a place where we can test the popularity of new products before we put them in stores.”
The new 30A Gear website features products such as embroidered 30A hats, drink huggies, coasters, key chains and, of course, the company’s famous “30A Stickers,” which are featured in the current issue of
Southern Living magazine.
“You’ve probably seen them – the round, blue ’30A’ stickers about the size of coffee-table coasters – adorning cars on highways all over the South,” said Southern Living in the article entitled Stuck on Highway 30A. “… More than a quarter of a million are now strewn throughout the planet and spotted in places as far afield as Afghanistan, Uruguay and Iceland.”

While 30Agear.com doesn’t yet feature t-shirts, Ragsdale said that additional products will be added soon, including a
special ‘Life Shines Dog’ shirt design that’s helping to raise money to support Walton County’s
Alaqua Animal Refuge. Last year, the company partnered with Alaqua to set-up donation boxes wherever 30A stickers are distributed. That partnership helped raise over $14,000 for Alaqua in its first 12 months alone.
Ragsdale also said that the company plans to launch another new website before summer, although details have not yet been released.
“From everything we’re hearing, 2012 is off to a truly amazing start here in
South Walton,” said Ragsdale. “We plan to do everything that we can to help keep that momentum going throughout the year for local businesses and charities, and especially for our sponsors and retail partners.”
ABOUT 30A® “30A.com has exploded,” says Southern Living magazine (April 2012). “What started as a way for a family to welcome friends has become an important Gulf Coast tourism tool, racking up some 150,000 unique viewers per week, a Facebook roll call of more than 75,000 fans and Android and iPhone apps.”
The company’s growing network includes 30A.com (The #1 Guide to Florida’s Scenic Highway 30A), SouthWalton.com (The #1 Guide to South Walton, Florida), 30A iPhone and 30A Android (Florida’s most-downloaded and highest-rated mobile apps), 30Arentals.com and 30A Facebook, with over 88,000 fans. The company gives away its world-famous ’30A stickers’ for free in local businesses, with 100 percent of all donation box revenue going to support Walton County’s Alaqua Animal Refuge. “You’ve probably seen them – round, blue ’30A’ stickers – adorning cars on highways all over the South,” said Southern Living. “More than a quarter of a million are now strewn throughout the planet and spotted in places as far afield as Afghanistan, Uruguay and Iceland.”
Life Shines (The 30A Song) by Bryan Kennedy, is available on iTunes, and the song’s YouTube video has been viewed over 100,000 times. Official 30A® products are now sold in over 20 retail locations and online at 30Agear.com.
Featured in Forbes, Entrepreneur and Florida Trend magazines, 30A.com’s “local guide” business model, TownWizard, has spread to 150 markets worldwide. |
