Grab your luckiest pole and most reliable lure, the 2011 American General Life and Accident Insurance Company (AGLA) Bass Tournament will be held Saturday, August 6 at Marina Village in Freeport.  A $3,000 payout is at stake for the winners of this annual tournament in memory of local angler Bob Zdenek.

“The Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center is an amazing organization,” said Sheriff Michael A. Adkinson, Jr. “The services they provide make a difference in helping children and their families heal from abuse.”

Attendees will each have two anglers per boat and will depart at first light.  There will be plenty of family fun planned while the anglers are out fishing.  The day will feature a car show, arts and crafts booths, delicious food, demonstration boat rides, and a giant waterslide for the kids and live entertainment.  The Family Fun Day is free and open to the public.  Come for the fun, stay for the weigh in and see who brings in the biggest fish and takes home the cash.
