Successful ‘30A on the Bay’ Cruise Marks the Beginning of an Exciting 2011 Spring Season for SunQuest Cruises
Docked at Baytowne Marina in the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort, SunQuest Cruises offers special events and regularly scheduled dinner cruises aboard the Solaris yacht
Destin, Fla. (March 17, 2011) – SunQuest Cruises announces that over 70 guests attended the ‘30A on the Bay’ Cruise Thursday, March 10th to kick off the 2011 Spring Season with a four course dinner, wine and live music by local favorite Kyle LaMonica. The special cruise presented by 30A.com is the first in a series of three events scheduled throughout the 2011 season. Next on the agenda for SunQuest Cruises is a Craft Beer Dinner Cruise scheduled for April 28th that will feature a sampling of craft beers paired with complementary cuisine and live entertainment.
“30A.com was thrilled to sponsor ‘30A on the Bay’ for our friends and fans,” added Mike Ragsdale, Owner of 30A.com. “The Solaris is one of our area’s most unique venues and provides an experience like no other in Destin and South Walton. Everything from the food to the service was outstanding and we look forward to future events from SunQuest Cruises.”
The evening’s menu was designed by the Solaris’ new chef, James Huckaby, whose resume includes noted Birmingham, AL restaurants Frank Stitt’s Highlands Bar & Grill, Bottega and Chez Fonfon. Highlights from the four delectable courses were Cornbread Crustini with Crabmeat Tartar Sauce, Pan Seared Redfish, Seared Venison Loin and Peach Cobbler Bread Pudding. In addition to enjoying the music of acoustic rock singer-songwriter LaMonica, 30A on the Bay guests were entertained by the comedy of emcee and host Kevin Boyle. The evening, which included a three hour cruise, hors d’oeuvres, four course dinner and entertainment, was offered at $49 per person.
“The ‘30A on the Bay’ Cruise was the perfect way to launch our 2011 season,” said James Murray, General Manager of SunQuest Cruises. “We are excited to be offering events like the upcoming Craft Beer Dinner and to provide a completely new opportunity to enjoy an evening out in Destin on the Choctawhatchee Bay.”
In addition to Chef Huckaby, SunQuest Cruises has assembled a fresh new team for 2011. Steven Harper joins the staff as Sales Director and Adam Shiland of Shiland Creative Group, Kevin Boyle of Poor Truman Creative Services and Madra McDonald of M Public Relations will collectively handle promotional and special event planning duties. Additional information will be released in the coming weeks regarding details of the Craft Beer Dinner Cruise and reservations are currently being accepted for the exclusive event.
