Panama City Beach (March 28, 2011) – Navigator, the Beach Chamber of Commerce’s small business initiative, will present a two-part Lunch & Learn workshop series on Social Media given by CyberSytes, held at FSU PC’s Holley Academic Center from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The workshops will both include a catered hot lunch.
On Thursday, April 28, Social Media I will approach the topic at a more introductory level, covering Facebook page set-up, messaging, status, newsfeeds, photos, postlinks, videos and tagging. The session will also cover how to upload pictures of products, create photo albums, and create a “bookmark library” of pages you want to interact with.
On Thursday, May 26, Social Media II will cover mid to more advanced social media tactics, such as scheduling, connecting, and utilizing Social Media for your business. This session will review messaging best practices, help you get creative on what pages to interact with, and teach how to provide value in comments, posts, answering questions and offering incentives for Likes. You’ll also learn how to build a landing page that shows content to only those that Like the page, post exclusive content and specials to Facebook fans, and learn how to utilize Hootsuite and Twitterfeed.
Cost for these workshops is $30 per person for one workshop, or both workshops, Part 1 and Part 2, for $50 per person. Lunch & Learn workshops are presented by the Beach Chamber, and co-sponsored by FSU PC, Gulf Coast Community College and the Small Business Development Center. To register, contact Marta Rose at the Beach Chamber at (850) 235-1159 or Marta@PCBeach.org.
