(March 8, 2011) – Over 55 designer companies at Silver Sands Factory Stores are currently hiring, which equates to hundreds of available jobs from part-time sales and stock associates to full-time managers. The stores are currently hiring staff of all experience levels and offering competitive pay, flexible schedules, generous store discounts and other great benefits. To facilitate the hiring process, Silver Sands is hosting a series of “Shop for a Job” festivals on four consecutive Wednesdays – March 16, March 23, March 30 and April 6 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.                 “While our current stores are staffing up for spring and summer, Silver Sands is also welcoming seven new stores within the next few months so there are a variety of seasonal and permanent positions available from sales associates to managers,” stated Angela Triplett, public relations manager for Howard Group. “Our series of spring job festivals were designed to encourage high school and college students visiting during spring break to secure a summer job as well as anyone looking for an exciting career in retail or to earn some extra money.” During the designated days, applicants may visit Shopper Services, located between Michael Kors and Juicy Couture, to complete a profile sheet that will be accepted by all tenants with open positions. Complimentary copies of the profile sheet, a list of job opportunities and benefit information will be distributed. During that timeframe, applicants may present their profile sheet to managers and receive an on-the-spot interview. Silver Sands is also continuing its partnership with JobsPlus to offer applicants even more resources. On March 23, March 30 and April 6, the JobsPlus 40-foot Mobile One-Stop vehicle will be stationed at Silver Sands from 12 – 4 p.m. The JobsPlus Mobile One-Stop will facilitate the hiring process during Silver Sands “Shop for a Job” fairs by allowing applicants to go online to corporate Web sites and apply for jobs at Silver Sands. In addition, job seekers will be able to register in the Employ Florida Marketplace database to search and apply for additional employment opportunities throughout the state. JobsPlus team members will be available to critique resumes, make suggestions on how to upload resumes in their system, provide tips concerning dress and appearance and conduct comprehensive job searches for potential employment opportunities.                 “The goal of JobsPlus One-Stop Career Centers is to help match our local job seekers with employers who are hiring,” stated Trisha King, Business Service Representative for JobsPlus One-Stop Career Center. “We feel that by partnering with Silver Sands for this event, we are able to provide these services to our job seekers and employers.” The mobile career center is equipped with twelve computer stations with Internet access, flat screen televisions both inside and outside for training and class presentations, an outdoor canopy, a sound system and a generator to provide its own power.
