SINFONIA GULF COAST HOLDS RECRUITMENT EVENT JANUARY 20 FOR

CRESCENDO! 2018, A NEW ANNUAL FUNDRAISING EVENT

DESTIN, FLA. — (Jan. 17, 2018) It’s a new year! Make a difference this year by volunteering your time. On Tuesday, January 30 from 4 to 6 p.m. Sinfonia Gulf Coast will hold a volunteer recruitment event for its new annual fundraising event, Crescendo! (formerly Wine Women and Shoes), at its office located at 36468 Emerald Coast Pkwy, Suite 11102 in Destin.

Volunteer duties will be explained for various shifts during each portion of the three-day event.

The sign-up sheets for a range of volunteer duties will be completed for all volunteer roles “front of house” and “behind the scenes” including set up/break down, check-in, greeting, soliciting silent and live auction items, fashion show models, assisting vendors and more.

Light bites and wine will be served.

“This event would not be possible without the dedication and hard work of our team of volunteers,” said Demetrius Fuller, Music and Artistic Director for Sinfonia Gulf Coast. “If you love the arts and want to make a difference, come and join us. The time you give will enable Sinfonia Gulf Coast to do even more for music education in our community.”

This year’s theme for Crescendo! is “an Audrey Hepburn-inspired affair.” The event begins on Friday, Feb. 16 with Vintner Dinners held throughout the coast and culminates with on Sunday, Feb. 18. Volunteer opportunities are available now leading up to and then during each event.

As the region’s only fully professional symphony orchestra, Sinfonia Gulf Coast is committed to presenting high-caliber events and providing much-needed educational initiatives throughout the Northwest Florida Gulf Coast. Crescendo! events benefit Sinfonia Gulf Coast’s music education programs, which include: musicians/guest artists in schools, free orchestra concerts, bus transportation for students, Sinfonia Youth Orchestra program, Arts in Medicine initiative with Sacred Heart Hospital and LINK UP concerts with third through fifth graders in partnership with Carnegie Hall.
