The first time you hear Chris Alvarado performing you can tell he isn’t an average musician playing cover tunes you can find in every tourist destination. Sure, he can play Jimmy Buffett songs. But he also has some very interesting original material. The National Recording Academy selected Chris to perform at the Florida Grammy Showcase in Orlando, Florida where a panel of industry judges and executives selected him as the winner out of the six acts that were selected from the entire state of Florida.
Live music is a huge part of Local Catch’s identity. Even when there’s not a local act keeping the party going, Local Catch always plays great music and nurtures a laid back vibe. On Sunday Funday, cars overflow from the parking lot and line the street as those in the know pack the building to satisfy their bellies and their souls with good food and good music.
