For Immediate Release April 4, 2011 The Walton County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) received information yesterday at approximately 12:30 p.m. regarding a suspicious incident involving an individual who was distributing large sums of money to gas station patrons near the intersection of U.S. Highway 331 and U.S. Highway 98. WCSO deputies arrived within minutes and observed a vehicle matching the description, a red 2009 Volkswagen Jetta, leave the gas station at a high rate of speed in the direction of Bay County, Fla. A Be On the Look Out (BOLO) was issued to area law enforcement agencies following the suspicious incident. Witnesses described the individual as a thin white male with a ponytail who is approximately five-feet, six-inches tall. Witnesses also suggested that the individual could be in possession of a firearm and under the influence of drugs. The WCSO received information today from an individual alleging that the Ga. tag from her vehicle had been stolen and replaced with a Fla. tag sometime yesterday. WCSO deputies determined the Fla. tag is registered to Brad David Brunette, 50, of Panama City, Fla. No charges have been filed. However, the WCSO is interested in interviewing anyone with information about this incident.
