On Thursday, October 14, Back Beach Barbecue and Idyll Hounds Brewing Company will host a Beer Dinner, featuring a collaboration of craft brews and various barbecue options perfectly paired together to enhance the taste and flavor of each course.
Beginning at 5:30 p.m., guests are invited to a cocktail hour before sitting down to enjoy an amuse bouche, followed by a four-course meal prepared by Back Beach Barbecue Pitmaster Shane Kirkland. Each dish will be accompanied by a specially selected beer by Idyll Hounds Brewing Company. Pitmaster Shane has created a menu featuring various specialty meats including lamb, andouille sausage, and filet, along with seafood including diver scallops, blue crab, and lobster. The dessert course will also feature a special smoked element to round out the evening.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Gould Family, a local family of four who are facing unexpected medical bills for the 4-year-old daughter, Kyla. A three-inch mass was discovered on Kyla’s brain and she now must undergo multiple surgeries in order to have it fully removed. Kyla and her family have a long road of recovery thus prompting the owners of Back Beach Barbecue to do whatever they could to give back and support the local family.
